Freelance Product Developer, pattern cutter & Tech Pack Specialist
I’m Pip Cooper, and I’ve been obsessed with making clothes for as long as I can remember. My auntie taught me to sew, and by the time I was at school, I was designing and making my own prom outfits, and even a two-piece women’s suit for my A-level textiles project. My first Saturday job was in a fabric store, which only fuelled my love of fabrics, patterns, and the magic of turning an idea into a garment.
After studying fashion design and pattern cutting at university, I spent several years working in-house for an outdoor clothing brand. I got my hands dirty in sampling, patterns, tech packs, and factory communication, and was originally CAD trained on Gerber. Those years gave me a solid foundation in creating garments that are not only innovative and functional but also production-ready.
Now, as a freelance product developer and tech pack specialist, I help startups and small fashion brands bring their outerwear visions to life—whether that’s perfecting fit, developing detailed tech packs, or making sure every garment is sustainable, functional, and ready to hit production.

By using tools like CLO3D for initial virtual fittings, I’m able to reduce waste and minimize costly sampling, ensuring that each design reaches its full potential before physical sampling begins.
